Spotting an opportunity to do things differently
Dane’s journey from pilot to operator gave him a first-hand view of the market’s limitations. After COVID-19 reshaped the industry, he saw an opportunity to do things differently.
“The market became much smaller after COVID-19,” Dane explains. “And we saw a real gap for transparent operators—no hidden surprises, no unclear pricing.”
He and Darren launched ACAM Pacific, a division of the wider ACAM Group, to address that gap. For Dane, this wasn’t just about moving passengers—it was about reshaping how clients experience charter services.
“From the moment we build a relationship with a client, we’re honest about how everything works,” Dane says. “That transparency and trust are what sets us apart.”
A new home base — built around client service
In 2024, ACAM Pacific marked a significant milestone, relocating from the smaller Essendon Executive Airport to Melbourne Jet Base. The move reflects their growing presence and commitment to exceptional client service.
“The move to Melbourne was a big win for us,” says Josh Naidu from the ACAM Pacific team. “We now have 24/7 operations with no curfews, access to on-demand immigration and customs, world-class dedicated FBO services, and maintenance support. It allows us to serve our clients to the highest standard.”
From this base, ACAM Pacific operates several monthly charter flights with a close-knit team of nine across Melbourne, the Gold Coast, and New Zealand. Their expanding regional presence supports clients across the Asia-Pacific market.

Simple processes, stronger relationships
For ACAM Pacific, operational efficiency isn’t about cutting corners — it’s about freeing their team to focus on client relationships while operating their varying fleet of aircraft and partner aircraft.
“The whole process runs so fluently that it can take just five minutes from receiving a request to delivering a quote,” Josh says. Dane adds that the Avinode platform has helped streamline operations, reducing quote generation time from 10–15 minutes to 5 minutes.
With 50–70% of trips coming through the platform, ACAM Pacific has optimized their workflows while staying true to their mission. “It’s the quickest way of working,” Dane says. “If everything were done through email, it would take too much time. The platform brings the business directly to us.”
Beyond efficiency, accessing a trusted network of reliable brokers is key to maintaining their standards. “Having access to a network of experienced partners helps us deliver the experience our clients expect,” Dane says. “It’s about making sure every part of the journey reflects our values.”
Growing without losing what makes them different
As ACAM Pacific looks to the future, the goal is clear. “We want to be the most trusted and respected operator in the Pacific,” Dane says. “But just as importantly, we want to make sure everyone gets what they need. That’s how we’ll grow—with purpose.”
The team is expanding its fleet and continuing to leverage the efficiencies of the Avinode platform to scale responsibly. But growth will never come at the expense of their personal touch or values. “We want to show that being open and delivering great service can go hand in hand,” Dane says. And with a strong foundation, a clear vision, and the right partnerships, ACAM Pacific is well on its way.
